ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Endicott women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 road loss to Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.
In a scrappy first half, the Tigers were able to strike first in the 35th minute, taking a 1-0 lead.
However, the Gulls quickly responded with their first goal of the season. Olivia Pardo (Latham, N.Y.) potted a loose ball amidst a scramble in front of the net in the 38th minute. Ellena Chase (Cohoes, N.Y.) set up the scoring chance with a well-placed corner kick on the set piece play.
Out of the halftime break, the two teams continued to go back and forth in a dogfight.
Unfortunately for the Blue and Green, the Tigers were eventually able to capitalize on a 75th minute opportunity, and they did not relent the rest of the way, closing out the 2-1 victory.
Amanda Cosgrove (Newton, Mass.) once again made the start in net and picked up five saves in the loss.
