The Gulls outpaced the Lyons throughout the majority of the contest, having outshot the hosts by a significant margin (21-6).
After a scoreless battle in the first half, Morgan Hubert (Southington, Conn.) created an opportunity and got the Gulls on the board in the 63rd minute via her first goal of the season.
In the ensuing 27 minutes, the Gulls continued to apply the pressure, and the defense prevented the Lyons from mustering any sort of offense of their own.
