SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women’s soccer team earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Western New England on Saturday evening at Suprenant Field.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Western New England on Saturday evening at Suprenant Field.
Jaymie Caponigro (Swampscott, Mass.) paced the Gulls with a pair of goals (13:37 | 48:23), while Riley Rischitelli's (North Brookfield, Mass.) tally at 60:46 served as the game-winner.
Despite trailing 3-0 late in the contest, Western New England put together a valiant comeback effort scoring back-to-back goals at 63:13 and 67:47, respectively, but Endicott buckled down defensively to come away with the victory.
Rosalina Caliri (East Greenwich, R.I.) stopped six shots on the day – three of which came after the Golden Bears' second goal – for her fifth win of the season (5-1-0).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Gulls improved to 14-5-2 overall against Western New England.
- Endicott has now won four games in a row (10/12-10/23).
- Caponigro registered her second career multi-goal game (10/12/21 vs. Salve Regina).
- Rischitelli notched her fourth career game-winning goal.
