    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's soccer team improved to 4-0-1 on the season by downing visiting Wellesley 1-0 on Wednesday night at Hempstead Stadium. The Gulls remain home for their second of five consecutive home contests on Saturday when they play host to Curry at 4:30 p.m.

    The Gulls got a goal from freshman Larissa Cade (Middlefield, Conn.) in the 40th minute that would prove to be all the scoring the two sides would provide for the night. For Cade, it was her third of the season as she is now tied for the team-lead in goals.

    BEYOND THE BOX

    • Cade's two points tonight, which bring her to six on the season, have her in a three-way tie for second place on the team with fellow freshman Catherine Elkas (Holden, Mass.) and junior Rachel Hanna (Chelmsford, Mass.).
    • Sophomore Sharlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.) recorded her third assist of the season, good for the team lead. Her assist also gives her nine points to date which is tops for the Gulls.
    • Keeper Caroline Armbruster (Stowe, Vt.) made three saves to improve to 4-0-0 on the season while recording her seventh career shutout.
    • The Gulls out-shot the Blue 20-6 in the match as Endicott posted 10 shots in each frame.
    • Endicott is now 5-3-2 all-time against Wellesley as the Gulls avenged a 2-0 defeat to the Blue in 2015.

    FOR THE FOES

    • Keeper Olivia Reckley (Grosse Ile, Mich.) was impressive in defeat, making several highlight saves on her way to making nine saves total.
    • Carley Phillips (Waterford, Conn.), Wellesley's leading goal scorer on the season with three, was kept off the scoreboard tonight as she came up empty on a team-high three shots.
    • The Blue's second leading goal scorer on the season, Maddie Carlborg (Burbank, Calif.), was also held off the board while attempting two shots.

    WHAT'S NEXT

    Endicott (4-0-1, 1-0-0 CCC) remains home on Saturday as they square off against Curry in CCC action at 4:30 p.m. Wellesley (3-2-0, 0-0-0 NEWMAC) is also home on Saturday as they play host to Emerson at noon in their conference opener.
