Endicott Places 19th Overall At Conn. College Invitational
WATERFORD, Conn. — The Endicott women's cross country team placed 19th overall out of 33 programs in the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday morning, hosted at Harkness Park.
No. 2 Williams took the top-4 four spots to run away with first place honors.
No. 18 Tufts, No. 13 Middlebury, No. 5 MIT, and No. 1 NYU followed in respective order on the team standings.
Meanwhile, Endicott finished ahead of the following programs: Plymouth State, Bates, Eastern Connecticut State, Wellesley, Wheaton, Keene State, Hartford, Mount Holyoke, Marywood, Clark, Dickinson, Ithaca, Smith, and Houghton.
Alexa Suchy (Guilford, Conn.) guided the Gulls' efforts with a 33rd place finish on the 6-kilometer course (23:12.9, 345 runners).
Rebecca Zuniga (New Braunfels, Texas) ranked second on the squad (135th, 24:52.0), while Corinne Robert (Mattapoisette, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 154th (25:04.5).
Teagan Shaughnessy (Watertown, Mass.) and Lulu Steele (Bedford, Mass.) also registered top-5 performances for the Gulls (197th, 25:35.6 | 202nd, 25:41.6).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Endicott's top-5 average was 24:53 (2:28 spread).
- As a team, the Gulls moved up from 27th overall at the 1.65-kilometer mark all the way up to 19th by the end of the race.
- Suchy and Zuniga both posted personal bests.
- Allie DeVoe (Ridgefield, Conn.) clocked a season-best time of 26:34.3 (241st).

Endicott competes in the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship on Saturday, November 1 at 1 PM, hosted by Gordon College.
