Women’s Volleyball Stifles Hartford, 3-0
HARTFORD, Conn. – The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Hartford in straight sets, 25-13, 27-25, and 25-19, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Saturday afternoon at the Reich Family Pavilion.
Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) and Angelina Fitzharris (Webster, N.Y.) tied for the match-high in kills with nine apiece.
Fitzharris swung .467 from the middle, while Helenbrook posted a .389 hitting percentage at the pin.
Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) ran the offense efficiently, dishing out 25 assists on 70 attempts (.357), and also paced the defense with a match-high 13 digs.
Today's match featured 15 ties (1-13-1) and 10 lead changes (0-9-1), with the majority of both categories occurring in the second set.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 3-0 all-time against Hartford (all sweeps, 2-0 on the road).
- Abby Downs (Billerica, Mass.) went 21-for-24 on serve-receive (three digs).
- Ava Barnhart (West Chester, Pa.) compiled a career-high eight digs (tied for second-most in the match).
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (10-10, 4-1 CNE) hosts Gordon on Wednesday, October 22 at 6 PM. Hartford (5-12, 1-5 CNE) welcomes Western New England to its campus next Wednesday at 7 PM.
