BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Endicott women's lacrosse team traveled to No. 14 nationally-ranked Bowdoin College and was handed an 18-7 loss.
Bowdoin jumped out to an early 4-0 lead before the Gulls got on the board on a tally from Maya Feigenbaum (West Hartford, Conn.).
The Gulls saw two more goals from Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.) and Jackie Healy (Northborough, Mass.) but the Polar Bears held a 12-3 advantage at the half.
Endicott received second-half goals from Gabriella Prisco (West Haven, Conn.), Alex Fitzgerald (Guilford, Conn.), and Julia Lantieri (Glastonbury, Conn.) but it wasn't enough as Bowdoin secured the 18-7 win.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) made eight saves in the first half.
- Alexandra Rose (East Lyme, Conn.) finished out the game in net and recorded one save.
- Aaliyah Biondo (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) earned the win in goal for the Polar Bears with eight saves in the first half.
- Offensively Bowdoin was led by Eliza Denious (Wilton, Conn.) with seven goals.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (10-5) hosts Roger Williams on Saturday, April 20 at 1 PM. Prior to the game, the Gulls will honor their senior class. Bowdoin (8-5) hosts Williams for a 12 PM contest on Saturday, April 20.
