Fantasia, Hall, and McPhee Collect NEWHA Awards

BEVERLY, Mass. — Three members of the Endicott Women's Ice Hockey Team have earned New England Hockey Writers Association (NEWHA) Division III Women's All-Star Team honors, as announced by the organization.
Forwards Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.) and Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.) were both named All-Stars, while head coach Andy McPhee was named Division II-III Women's Coach of the Year.
The postseason awards keep racking up for Fantasia as she now has been named CNE Player of the year, All-CNE First-Team, a finalist for the Laura Hurd Award, CCM/AHCA First-Team All-American, and now an NEWHA All-Star.
The senior finished the season setting new career highs in nearly every statistical category, including goals (16), points (27), and plus/minus (+24). Fantasia also tied career highs in assists (11), power-play goals (3), and game-winning goals (4).
Across Division III, the Billerica, Mass. native ranked 13th in game-winning goals, 19th in goals per game (.57), and 44th in points per game (.96).
Hall recorded 29 points this season, which ranks tied for 4th in program history for points in a single season with 12 goals and 17 assists. The junior recorded five power-play goals and one game-winning goal to go with nine games this season with two or points.
Amongst her peers, the junior finished the season ranked 16th in power-play goals, 33rd in assists per game (.61), and 33rd in points per game (1.04).
McPhee guided Endicott to the best record in the conference, going 21-4-1 overall and 15-2-1 in the CNE.
Under the leadership of McPhee, the Gulls posted their second best overall win total all-time and second consecutive season with 15 conference victories.
As a team, the Gulls rank first in the conference in Goals (90), Assists (142), Scoring Offense (3.46), Scoring Defense (1.42), Scoring Margin (2.04), Team Points (232), and Team Shutouts (6).

Endicott recorded a 22-5-1 overall record while going 15-2-1 in league play this season.
The Gulls earned the No. 1 seed in the CNE Tournament and secured the first-ever CNE Championship, advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
Endicott would fall to No. 12 Nazareth, 4-2, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
