BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team opens up its 2022-23 season on the road against Coast Guard this Saturday, November 12 at 1 PM. Here's a preview of the Gulls' upcoming season.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Endicott has been picked second in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- The Gulls return four out of their top-5 scorers from last season's roster. The group includes Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.), Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.), Emily St. Thomas (Sterling, Mass.), and Libby Fleming (Bangor, Maine) who scored 441, 419, 217, and 146 points, respectively, a year ago.
- Endicott has punched its ticket to the CCC Tournament for 19 straight seasons heading into this year's campaign, highlighted by a CCC Championship in 2019-20 and a CCC Finals appearance in 2021-22.
- Dempsey (2021-22 CCC Rookie of the Year) and Laugeni earned All-CCC First Team honors last year.
- Olivia Duncan '22 (Essex Junction, Vt.) returns to the program this winter as a volunteer assistant coach.
