PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Endicott men's soccer team fell to Johnson & Wales, 2-1, in Saturday evening's Conference of New England (CNE) matchup from Scott's Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes, the Wildcats broke loose for consecutive goals in the 50th and 76th minutes.
Trailing 2-0 late, the Gulls attempted a late comeback push led by Jake Pezza (North Kingstown, R.I.). Pezza tapped home his first goal of the season to get the Gulls on the board, courtesy of Fisher Mills' (Ridgefield, Conn.) feed in the 88th.
With two minutes left to play, Endicott continued its late push, and even worked two corner kicks that Mills placed nicely into the box, but the Gulls were ultimately turned away, unable to find an equalizer.
Brady O'Toole (Concord, Mass.) fell to 5-4-1 on the season despite his six-save effort.
