DUDLEY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team lost to Nichols, 2-1, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opener for both teams on Saturday evening at Vendetti Field.

DUDLEY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team lost to Nichols, 2-1, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opener for both teams on Saturday evening at Vendetti Field.
Tied 1-1 late in the second half, Nichols found the eventual game-winner in the 89th minute to secure the conference victory over the Gulls.
Endicott jumped out top first in the 21st minute via a one-timer goal by Keveen Delgado (Pittsfield, Mass.) near the penalty area. Delgado was assisted by Tiago Frazao (Trumbull, Conn.) and Max Karkos (Wethersfield, Conn.).
Nichols rallied from behind with a penalty kick goal in the 67th minute before netting the dramatic game-winner with only a few minutes left to spare in the matchup.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Despite the loss, Endicott still leads the all-time matchup between Nichols with a record of 14-11-2.
- Karkos has recorded five points in his last five games.
- Nichols is 3-1-0 at home this season.

Endicott (3-3-0, 0-0-1 CCC) travels to No. 21 nationally ranked Middlebury on Tuesday, September 19 at 4 PM. Nichols (4-3-0, 1-0-0 CCC) welcomes Vermont State Castleton this coming Tuesday at 4 PM.
