Men's Soccer Downs Nichols In Regular Season Finale, 4-0

DUDLEY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team shut out Nichols, 4-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Vendetti Field.

Cole Elgin (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) registered his first career hat trick (11:47 | 36:07 | 64:43) to lead the Gulls to the victory.

Joe Mepham (Sudbury, Mass.) also added his team-leading ninth goal of the season (13:22), while Tinashe Mtetwa (Harare, Zimbabwe) dished out two assists. 

In goal, Kyle Rosa (Norton, Mass.) notched five saves for his second career shutout (4-1-1).

BEYOND THE BOX 

• Endicott is 13-10-2 in the all-time series versus Nichols.  
• This is the sixth shutout in the all-time series. 
• Mtetwa notched his first and second career points.
• Endicott is 6-2 overall in the month of October.
• The Gulls are riding a four-game win streak heading into the postseason. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (8-6-2, 7-1-1 CCC) will compete in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament on Tuesday, November 2 (time/opponent TBD). Nichols sees its 2021 season come to a close at 5-9-0 overall and 1-7-0 in conference play.
