MEDFORD, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to No. 5 nationally ranked Tufts on Tuesday afternoon at Bello Field.
The Gulls fought hard in the first half, and even headed to the break tied scoreless.
In the second, the two teams continued to battle back-and-forth, but the Jumbos escaped for back-to-back goals at the 79:59 and the 80:45 marks, grabbing hold of the contest.
The Blue and Green couldn't break through in the final nine minutes of play, and consequently fell to the hosts, 2-0.
Samantha MacCormack (Danvers, Mass.) made her third start of the season in net. She picked up a season-high six saves and fell to 1-2-0 on the 2025 campaign.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tufts is 8-1-2 against Endicott all-time.
- The Gulls are 3-4-1 in non-conference games this season.
- The Jumbos outshot the Gulls 14-2 (8-1 on net) in the matchup.
- Reigning NESCAC Player of the Year Elsi Aires (Westborough, Mass.) scored her fifth goal of the season to break the deadlock in the 80th minute.
- MacCormack's six saves tied her career-high mark (10/12/24).

Endicott (6-6-1) welcomes UNE to Hempstead Stadium on Saturday for a 12 PM CNE contest. Prior to the game, the team will recognize the senior class for senior day festivities.
No. 5 Tufts (9-0-1) welcomes Bates to Bello Field for its senior day ceremony on Saturday in a 3:30 PM NESCAC contest.
