Why Endicott? Why Division III?

I chose Endicott for the beautiful scenery and for the volleyball program.

Career Summary

2017: Senior season at Endicott... played in 26 matches (60 sets)... registered 74 kills (1.23 k/s), a .278 hitting percentage, three assists, four service aces, 20 digs, and 45 total blocks (two solo, 43 assisted, 0.75 b/s)

2016: Junior season at Endicott... appeared in 14 matches (27 sets)... notched 46 kills (1.70 k/s), four service aces, seven digs, and 27 blocks (one solo, 26 assisted)

2015: Played in 26 matches as a sophomore... finished with 125 kills while hitting .306 for the season... was second on the team with 90 blocks and finished first in blocks/set with 1.13... also finished fourth on the team in points and points/set with 182.5 and 2.3

2014: Played in nine matches as a freshman... recorded nine kills and three blocks while hitting .263 for the year

Professional Aspirations

Aspires to have made enough money through software development to leave the U.S. and live abroad... Has completed internships with Monroe #1 BOCES where he designed a website from scratch and for the West Irondequoit Central School District where he worked in the Information Technology department completing computer re-imaging, inventory and computer maintenance... his summer 2015 internship was completed with the West Irondequoit Central School District... served as an IT intern, along with duties in system imaging and general IT work... is currently interning at Cambridge Associates as a software development intern... has designed and developed an application using Java and the Spring Boot Framework

Ryan on his previous internships in the I.T. field and Cambridge Associates:

"Both internships have given me the opportunity to work in the I.T. field and have helped me realize that I.T. is not a field I wish to pursue when I previously thought it might be."

"My internship at Cambridge Associates has given me the opportunity to experience the daily life of a professional developer. It has also given me the opportunity to discover and learn about other areas of computer science which I had never considered an option before."

Clubs and Organizations

Member of ECHO A Capella, Computer Science Club and the Outdoor Adventure Club...

Community Service

Volunteered with Special Olympics, dodgeball at Beverly Middle School, the Gloucester Food Pantry, the 9/11 Remembrance Candle Light Vigil and with the Beverly Halloween Festival... Also volunteered for the Salvation Army, helped move a house for Advent House sales, Rochester for Obama, and with the Fairport Music and Food Festival

Ryan on the 9/11 Remembrance Vigil:

"Of all the volunteer/community service work we have done, I would say that the 9/11 Remembrance was the most standout experience."

Fun Facts

I am an accomplished beat-boxer, the best Super Smash Bros Melee player at Endicott, and I'm reasonably okay at guitar... minoring in business administration... sees himself in Australia in 10 years
