Kadel Highlights Men's Tennis Postseason Awards
BEVERLY, Mass. ? Four members of the Endicott men's tennis program have earned postseason honors from the Conference of New England (CNE), as announced by the league office today.
BEVERLY, Mass. — Four members of the Endicott men's tennis program have earned postseason honors from the Conference of New England (CNE), as announced by the league office today.
The honorees were Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany), George Danes (Old Lyme, Conn.), and Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass.)
Lastly, James Zeolie (Amherst, N.H.) was named as the Gulls' representative on the CNE Community Service Team for his charitable contributions and outstanding leadership within the Endicott community.
ALL-CNE SINGLES
CONRAD KADEL | JR. | FIRST TEAM
Kadel posted 11 wins (seven conference) during the season, with 16 matches played in the No. 1 slot. He posted a 7-1 record in conference matches, all at the No. 1 spot. The junior ended the season an eight match winning streak in singles.
This is Kadel's second all-conference singles award after being named second team last season.
GEORGE DANES | SR. | SECOND TEAM
Danes notched six singles victories at the No. 2 position in the lineup. The senior recorded four singles victories in conference play, including a thrilling 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) victory against the University of Saint Joseph.
This is Danes' third career All-Conference award after being named to the second team in 2023 and third team in 2024.
ALL-CNE DOUBLES
CONRAD KADEL/AARON TERPKO | THIRD TEAM
The duo managed a 4-1 overall record along with an unblemished 3-0 record in CNE flights. Kadel and Terpko played all of their matches at the top spot and included a victory against No. 52 Connecticut College's top doubles team 6-4.
This is Terpko's first career All-CNE Doubles award and Kadel's third overall (2024, Second Team and 2023, Third Team).
SEASON REVIEW
Endicott finished the season with a 9-9 record and went 6-3 in conference play, earning the No. 4 seed in the CNE tournament. The Gulls defeated No. 5 seed Gordon 4-2 in the First Round before falling to No. 1 seed Nichols, 4-1, in the semifinals.
