Endicott Wins Fourth-Straight Women's CCC All-Sports Trophy
BIDDEFORD, Maine – The women's programs at Endicott had an incredible year in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, claiming five league championships and finishing as the CCC runner-up in three other sports. As a result, they earned the 2021-22 CCC Women's All-Sports Trophy. This year is the first time the trophy has been awarded since 2018-19 due to limited competition during the COVID-19 pandemic.

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The women's programs at Endicott had an incredible year in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, claiming five league championships and finishing as the CCC runner-up in three other sports. As a result, they earned the 2021-22 CCC Women's All-Sports Trophy. This year is the first time the trophy has been awarded since 2018-19 due to limited competition during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The lowest any Gulls team finished this year in the CCC competition was third, earning them 93 points in the All-Sports Trophy standings across 10 sports for a 9.30 points per sport average.
Endicott took an early lead in the Women's All-Sports Trophy competition, winning the field hockey, tennis, and volleyball Tournament Championships for 10 points apiece. The Gulls also finished third at the Cross Country Championship and were the Regular-Season Champions in soccer, giving both those programs eight All-Sports Trophy points. Their lead got bigger following winter championships as the Gulls won the inaugural women's ice hockey title and finished as the tournament runner-up in basketball. Endicott closed out the year with a CCC Tournament title in softball and runner-up finishes in lacrosse and track and field to wrap up its fourth-consecutive Women's All-Sports Trophy.
Roger Williams went the whole year in second place in the Women's All-Sport Trophy standings, finishing with 68.5 point in nine sports for a 7.61 average. The Hawks claimed the CCC Tournament title in lacrosse this spring.
The University of New England placed third in this year's standings, earning 64 points in nine sports and averaging 7.11 points per sport. Meanwhile, Suffolk placed fourth in its first-ever All-Sports Trophy competition with a 6.69 average.
Gordon and Western New England both averaged 6.06 points per sport to tie for the fifth spot in the 2021-22 All-Sports Trophy standings. The Fighting Scots were the CCC Champions in track and field, while the Golden Bears were the tournament runner-up in softball.
Rounding out the 2021-22 Women's All-Sports Trophy table in order were Salve Regina (5.75 points/sport), Wentworth (4.08), Nichols (3.95), and Curry (2.31).

ABOUT THE ALL-SPORTS TROPHY
The All-Sports Trophies have been awarded annually since 2013-14 to the schools that perform the best across the board in league competition.
In each sport, points are awarded based on CCC championship and CCC runner-up finishes in the conference tournament followed by the regular-season finish of the remaining teams. The CCC Tournament Champion receives 10 points and the CCC Tournament runner-up receives nine points.
The regular-season finish of the remaining teams is used to determine the number of points awarded to each of those programs. The team with the highest regular-season finish, excluding the Tournament Champion and runner-up, receives eight points with the next team down receiving seven points. The process continues until all teams have been awarded points. In the event of a tie, each tied team receives the average of the sum of the spots for which they are competing.
After the total points are calculated, points are then divided by the number of CCC sports that each school sponsors to arrive at an average score.
For sports that do not conduct a conference tournament, each team's place in the final regular-season standings or finish at the championship event are used to determine the allocation of points. Associate members are not eligible to earn points in the All-Sports trophy standings, but their finish is considered when determining the allocation of points for full members.
Starting in the 2017-18 academic year, the awarding procedure was amended so that any sport in which at least five core CCC members compete against each other in the same conference (even if that conference is not the CCC) would receive points in the All-Sports Trophy standings.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference comprised of 10 full member and one associate member institutions throughout the New England region.
